Recent updates to the GAA's Learning and Development Portal (www.learning.gaa.ie) include video presentations from the speakers at the first-ever Club Referee Conference held in Croke Park on Saturday, April 20 last. The conference was attended by more than 200 club referees, both hurling and football, from around the country. The presentations can be viewed at http://learning.gaa.ie/node/ A new e-learning course - GAA CAMP SUPERVISION - is now freely available on the site and is intended to help camp leaders and camp supervisors to organise and manage a GAA camp. The course is divided into five modules on Leadership, Risk Management, GAA Camp Ethos, Camp Organisation and a concluding module with a quiz to revise some aspects of the course. The course is not graded and can be completed in two and a half hours. Register and visit http://learning.gaa.ie/lms/ A number of features have also been added to the âPlayer Section' of learning.gaa.ie in recent weeks. Various documents for players are available at present such as fact sheets on different types of injury and information on anti-doping. There are a number of informative blogs focussing on player welfare which are published on GAA.ie and are available on a bi-weekly basis, Brendan Cummins, OisÃn Mc Conville, Ronan Carolan, Cian O'Neill are to name a few of the people that have contributed recently.
