While many people are unaware of the vast amount of work going on in Cork underage GAA circles we have decided to look at the year in numbers so as to give people an indication of the scale of the work being undertaken by volunteers throughout the county and supported by our Coaching Committee and 8 full time staff led by Games Manager Kevin O Callaghan.

CLUB INITIATIVES

13,165 -   Children took part in Cork Kelloggs GAA Cúl Camps in 2015

1,000 -   Coaches worked at Kelloggs GAA Cúl Camps in 2015

110 -      Cúl Camp host venues in Cork

120 -      Visits to Cúl Camps by Inter County players

9,000 -   Boys playing in our Monster Blitz Programme in 2015

245 -      Monster Blitzes held for u 8, u9 & u10 players in 2015

67 -        Clubs accredited in the Benchmarking 20/20 Vision Programme

260 -      Coaching workshops held in clubs by GDA’s in 2015

468 -     Coaches qualified to Foundation Level in Cork this year at 26 courses

140 -     Coaches qualified to Award One in Cork at 7 courses

REGIONAL/COUNTY DEVELOPMENT SQUADS

800 -  Boys participating in our Regional Development Squad Programmes

400 -  Boys played on Rebel Óg squads from May to August

12 -    Former Inter County Players involved with Rebel Óg squads

40 -    Players who played on Cork minor teams in 2015 who came through

          the  Development Squads Programme.

POST PRIMARY SCHOOL INITATIVES

900 - Transition Year Students undertaking a Coaching & Referee Course

40 -   Post Primary Schools taking part in First Year 7 a side blitzes

8 -    The number of Cork schools playing in Harty Cup in 2015/2016 season

6 -    Cork schools playing in the Corn Ui Mhuiri Senior football competition

510- The number of Post Primary games played by Cork schools

           (fixed by Cork Post Primary Schools Board & Munster Post Primary

            Board)
