The European County Committee has asked Central Council to facilitate the twinning of clubs within its jurisdiction with clubs in Ireland and have outlined some of the goals of such twinning arrangements as follows:
- Potential challenge/friendly matches between twinned clubs (including at youth level where feasible)
- Sharing of experiences and knowledge in relation to:
l Administration
l Public Relations
l Fundraising and sponsorship
l Best practices on training and development
- Exchanging of views on club structures and best practices
- Discovering new and refreshing ways of playing, thinking and developing Gaelic Games both in Ireland and in Europe
- Helping to spread the word and allowing clubs take part in the development of the GAA both inside and outside of Ireland
- Generating interest in, and increasing the reputation of our Games
- Developing language and cultural aspects of both club
We call on assistance with the European Board in this initiative by forwarding this email to all of your clubs and ask clubs that are interested in
