Last Friday night in Kinsale Community School the  official launch of a hurling project jointly planned between KCS and GAA clubs whose players attend the school.  The purpose of the project is to maximise the hurling talent that exists in the school with a view to competing and challenging for honours in top tier schools hurling competitions.   From a Courceys perspective, Niall Murphy is chairman of the project committee that has been formed to drive this initiative. Diarmuid Corcoran is an U18 coach.  Initial focus will be on U18 and U16 age groups with training commencing this coming Sunday at 9.30 in the new KCS astro turf. Coaches are Diarmuid Corcoran, John Hurley ( Ballymartle), Ger O Regan ( Kinsale ) and Cathal Murphy ( Tracton).  Training will take place on Sunday mornings and Friday nights in the gaa clubs and school.  We wish Niall & Diarmuid and all the Courcey students all the best for the coming year.

Last Thursday we held our annual golf classic in Kinsale Golf Club. The main sponsor was Seamus & Eileen of Kitty O'She's Kinsale.  Kinsale Tile Store, Lester & Lyndsey of Hurleys Bar, Bandon Co-op and Jerome Lordan of Kinsale Harbour Cruses also sponsored some of the prizes.  Thank you also to The Old Head Golf Links (4 Ball) and Rogue Fitness Kinsale who sponsored a prize in the raffle.  The 4 Ball was a much coveted prize.
