A chara

Last April when Denis Ryan Chairman of Kilbrittain made contact with me about the possibility of a joint fundraiser in the form of a boxing event, I knew from the outset it had great potential because of the rivalry between our two clubs.

Trojan work has been done by both committees since last April.  Thanks you for your time and dedication.

I would like to thank Martin and Con of Nyhan Motors our Major Sponsor of this event.  Nyhan Motors are also our clubs Sponsor and have given our club hugh support and encouragement over the past few years.    So if your thinking of changing your car please  give them a call.

I would also like to thank our boxers who have given a 100% commitment over the last nine weeks, training up to three times weekly.  They are really a great bunch of people who I have great admiration for because without them this event would not have happened.

Also thanks to Will Rossall and Eoin Irvine of K.O. Fitness for their professional training.   Will, you have being very dedicated and very generous with your time.  Both of you have done an amazing job  in nine weeks in getting our boxers prepared for last night.

I would also like to thank our M.C. Paudie Palmer who  added greatly  to the occasion.

Also thank you to Denny Aherne and Bandon GAA Club for the use of their pavilion.

A hugh Go Raith Maith Agat to all our local business community and not so local business's for your generousity in sponsoring our boxers and placing adds in the programme.

Finally a big thanks to all who  attended last night to support this unique event. It will be a night to remember for a long time.

The priority in all of this is the youth of both our parishes.  At all times we encourage you to keep up our gaelic games and enjoy the facilities which are being developed and maintained by the generosity of all the supporters of our clubs.

On behalf of the club we wish you a happy Christmas and proporous New Year and hopefully 2017 will be a good one when we get to pick up the caman and throw away the gloves.
